Hi everyone.
After four & a half years with my Factory I have gone & put a deposit on a MV Augusta Butale 800RR .I just feel it was time for a change & was given a good PX on the Tuono.
Had a test ride on a Brutale Dragster RR, Mad as a box of Frogs , fantastic engine not quite as much low down grunt as the Aprillia but pulls from about 3000rpm & then takes off like rocket,
Seat is as hard as nails but riding position is comfortable, it's lighter than the factory & is tiny, not sure about the wire wheels . The 800RR is more "normal" having 5 spoke alloys & wider bars but still has the same engine.
It has four engine maps Normal,Rain Sport & custom , eight traction control settings, ABS & a quickshifter that works on upshifts & downshifts in sport mode . The MV does'nt handle as well as the Factory but then again it does'nt have Ohlins suspension but then again The factory was allways much faster than I was anyway.
So thanks for all the good advice, laughs & general good times on this forum. I will be looking in on here most days as I don't know how to get off this forum:lol
The MV forums don't seen to be as much fun (& the other place ) as here.:thumbup

Good feedback Tricky, and nice to know there's life after a Tuono! Those of us who started out commuting on small bikes know that every bike has its virtues, but Tuonos... and anything comparable, are fun with a capital 'F', 'U', & 'N', methinks... :thumbup

I had my T about the same time as you and loved it.
As they say, a change is as god as a rest, and the Brutale is a good bike. Enjoy

but still has the same engine.

rr has the f3 engine, so not the same as the standard version

Good luck with new bike when you get it mucker. Getting itchy feet also but a lack of funds means I'm keeping the Tuoldo for a while yet

I loved my T and do miss it, but the S1000R I got to replace it is a bloody brilliant replacement.

Sometimes you know when it's time to move on. It would be nice to have the money and space never to have to sell when you get a new bike - just keep growing the collection :thumbup

Enjoy the bike , we all have to move on at some point ...
A shop down my way is now a MV dealer , sat on the Dragster RR on sunday , that thing is just nuts but as you said ... comfy !
Luckily i didnt have my licience with me or i would of taken them all out for a spin , not the sports ones as me knees are f###ed !!!
