I see I'm not the only one who spends hours in the shed!! LOL

Looks excellent mate, that rubber edging looks familiar!!

Our supplier will catch on soon and double the price, they all get greedy in the end.

Mate,it all looks good, but you have to take that edging off, just rap it all alround the rad.The same you did with the oil cooler,it will look so much better,kev..:thumbup
p.s.(just my opinion mate)

Haven't re-fit the panels yet so I dont know how it will look, but if i'm not happy then i'll try that Kev :thumbupDid you fasten yours with anything or just fold it around the rad :dunno
I'm a fussy bugger and if it looks pants it'll be gone :pirate

Mate, just rapped it all round, then used thin wire to secure it all..:thumbup

lovin the gold mesh..where do you get it?

ahem.... from work ooer :biggrin it's from a filter we use on something expensive :devious

What did you use was it ally mesh:dunno

The mesh i used on the oil cooler and side panels is steel mesh from B&Q and the undercoated and sprayed black satin same as bellypan :thumbup

Not sure if the perforations on the radiator mesh are big enough tho' :dunno if the bike starts getting too hot i'll change it for the ally or steel mesh from B&Q as the other bits are :thumbup

Just done mine today too..wrapped mine round and tied them to the fan brackets with wire ties. The one for the oil cooler and seat unit I used evo sealant..

Cheers guys might have a go will post pictures if I do:thumbup

Always worth having a go yourself.

Only reason I'm selling them is for those who can't.

Not everyone can do everything, for example - I can make anything out of metal to very accurate measurements but give me the same job to do with wood and I'll make the biggest pile of sawdust you've seen for eons.

Everyone to their own I say.

Mick, if you, or anyone else, intend copying these and your rads are the same size as the 2000 model, the dimensions for the grills are :-

210mm X 158mm cut size...then assuming you use the same rubber trim, this will make the finished measurements 214mm X 162mm which is a nice snug fit :thumbup

looks good mate, is that aluminium mesh or steel you have used over the oil cooler? I wondered if aluminium mesh would be strong enough to fold like that without breaking of snapping under vibration later on?

ukcustombike..it's steel mate, got it from B&Q. If you can fined the mess at your B&Q they all have a number for pricing I got number 33 drawnsteel 50x50 cm was about £15.
If you get some, take care as the edges are very sharp as I found out
here's what it looks like all back together...

looks good! When you say steel do you mean stainless steel or is this Zinc plated, plain unfinished mild steel will rust in no time. Ive seen some aluminium mesh on ebay at a good price, will post some pics when i get round to doing it. Good work!!!

Cheers :thumbup
