Evening chaps ...
Was out for a ride yesterday .. first one for about 6 weeks or so .
Anyway , i was going up through the gears when suddenly ..... nothing , it was like i'd switched the ignition off , so pulled over and turned the ignition off , then back on and it fired up and away i went .
This happened 4 times but then was fine for the rest of my ride , i was thinking maybe the quickshifter was having a funny 5 minutes and sticking and therefore cutting the ignition , i have no fault codes etc but was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them ?
Sort of ruined my ride as i wasnt sure ir it was gonna cut out half way through an overtake or something !!

Not what you need coming into a corner at speed. It's also the reason I have never liked computers on bikes, even though I bought one. What year is your bike ?

So the bike would still be under warranty > Have you asked the dealer to take a look ?

I've had a similar thing happen to me. As I changed up gear and with my foot still under the gear lever in anticipation for the next up shift, the engine will cut momentarily. I thought it may be my foot catching the lever. However after trying to consciously create this scenario without success I'm not so sure. I've also checked and cleaned the side stand switch which can be a culprit.
My bike is a late 2012 model and it has been updated with the latest software/maps

I think I might have had the same kind of problem on my 2014. Fist ride out since September, had not been using the quick shifter till on the way back. Came to a 5 mile carriage way and opened her up went up the box fine using the quick shift until 5th. Tried for six and nothing hit limiter and red flashing light dropped back to fourth accelerated again in to 5 then tried for six and nothing again. Tried 3 times and gave up, used the clutch instead. Only 5 mins from home say didn't get chance to try again. Going to give it at try next weekend, if still playing up its of to the dealer.

Well .... i got to the bottom of the problem , put it this way , if there was a medal for the biggest dip **** then i would get it !!!!

I replaced my trickle charger as my old one had died , so i replaced the leads that go from the battery and connect to the new trickle charger , long story short is that i didnt bolt the positive lead from the bike to the battery ..... and when i pushed the red cover over the terminal the lead touched the battery ... thats why when i hooked another gear or hit a bump the lead moved and cut the engine !!! wot a ******** .... i thought i was pretty good with the mechanical side of things but just shows we can all make stupid mistakes :cuckcoo

Let the piss taking begin !!!!

Please you managed to find the problem on your bike.. Stillnot sure what mine could be.

You could try adjusting the lever itself , i adjusted mine cause my knee and ankle are a bit fooked , i was struggling to make the shifts work when using the quickshifter and would sometimes hit neutral .... hope you get yours sorted mate

My 1100RR has just done this to me not changing gear properly etc, took it to the dealer and he just adjusted the gear lever. It's interesting that my Tuono didn't start doing this until after the recall map was downloaded, before that it was quick and smooth with it's shifting.
