Is there a copper or ally washer to mate the surface of the drain plug head onto the crankcases?
I have a gen 2 rsv 1000.
Thanks.

99 % sure there`s not any washer supposed to be there mate :thumbup

on the allen-head bolt that goes into the crankcase yes, there is a copper washer! on the oil tank there is none. :) at least on mine. :)

Don't know about the gen 2 but on the gen 1 it's the other way, no washer on the crank case drain but an ali washer on the oil tank drain.

Agree....I have a Gen II (Tuono, so same thing)...NO washer on crankcase. Alui washer on oil tank.
Have a quick look through your KTM parts catalogue...you can get a replacement magnetic crank case drain plug with a proper bolt head rather than the stupid soft as cheese allen that's fitted as oe. About £10 squids.
