looking at the pictures of that air filter and base plate i would say that is the one and same one of your mates bike BoB, i remember that sideboard very wellA mate of mine made one exactly the same. I believe he still has the template BUT, I believe the original idea and hard work came from Sabre. :thumbup
My mate had no problems making it (in about 2 days, part time) and it seemed to work as effectlively as my Renegade original - i.e. lovely induction roar and a perceived increase in power. I have read that someone used aluminium as a baseplate too.

You're right. His missus was not amused!
the TL was my dream bike and i still think it looks ace but owning it was rubbish the brakes were wooden it was too heavy and the weight was low down. it was too wide for a V twin, the steering was killed by the damper and the handling was cack in fact it was the closest thing to riding a torpedo you can imagine.
I've noticed there's a couple of bikes there with Mesh round the rads. Was thinking of doing this myself. Anyone got any tips of how best to fix it on?
