Led indicators on 1999 mille??????

Hey guys

Just a quick, non-intrusive question.

Some f&$ker decided it was funny to push my mille over the stand the other day, minor damage to the bike as it landed in grass.

If I ever find out who it was :fire

Now, Although I have a bent clutch lever, broken indicators and bent footpeg I was wonder if there are any problems in fitting LED indicators as replacement items????:dunno:dunno

Do I need a special flasher box or some **** to make it work on the 1999 model????

To be fair it mighthave just fell offthe stand lol, there not the best. I was planning to do the same on my 99 mate re the LED, according to a local retailer its hit and miss whether you need them or not. Might be worth buying some first and getting a relay as an afterthought if it dont work

Oz mate, I have a new unused Motrax led relay you can try it with if you like? They're £20 new but i'll send you it first and see if it works, if it does just drop me a tenner, how does that sound??? If it doesn't do the job just send it back buddy.

Cheers for the offer mate, however I found 1 pair of standard indicators in the shed last night off another project. Will just grab another set local.

You can put a pair of LED indicators on with a standard flasher unit and it may work.

However, it's recommended to use a dedicated LED flasher unit which you can get off Ebay for £8 ish.

If your fitting LED indicators all round then you do need to carry out a simple mod to your dash wiring and fit the LED flasher relay.

I have attached a Word Doc that will assist you, if you do attempt this and get stuck PM me and I'll help you out.

Had problems with the boys LED but you can get constant glow when fitting the relay with one LED and one normal :eek:but if you reverse the relay it works..

I checked over the word document, and to be honest it was very simple and straight forward. :thumbup:thumbup

And if I wasnt totally f%$kin banned from touching electrical components (self made limitation :devious) I would try, as I cannot even fix the speedometer as yet this would make me cringe.

I am taking the easy way out and fitting some nice clear lens (amber globe) non LED, even I cannot f%$k that up, MAYBE :dunno

Hi guys i put a set on mine and they did not flash with the origina l relay so i put the relay off my zx7r on and it was fine
