awesome! im yet to get my knee down on anything yet :( ... will be out on sunday trying my hardest to get it down, was having a few sneak peaks mid bend the past few outtings and im not too far off, so progress is being made :)

I have a theory that the ground moves down as you negotiate a bend.

From the massive lean angles I use, I should have ground my legs off to stumps by now.

Olaf you can lean as much as you want but if you dont hang off the knee will not go down, try the slip road onto the A19 at Easington for a left hander and the roundabout at Littlethorpe for the right knee if you really want to achieve this. according to my son i was very close last Sunday on the left hander, really pleased i didnt get my knee down as i had my textile trousers on oops :lol

On top of the above excuse, I additionally have very high knees in proportion to my overall short leg length.

I was once at a bike show & they had a static bike set up at an angle to allow you to touch your knee on the deck & pick a sticker off the floor.

It all felt very wrong & since them I have adopted the old school style of keeping everything tucked in.

Not be long for the left now if the rain stops . Yeah my dad keeps his legs tucked in but gets massive lean

I got my knee down on the Tzone Welsh thunder run in April.

And my shoulder, my back, bay ribs, my head and pretty much all of me!

I don't understand ..Why the desire to "get your knee down"? I see people doing this, hopping all over the seat for no aparent reason. Sometimes I am in tears laughing at their antics!

i feel more comfortable moving my weight to the inside of the corner, it makes the bike more stable and helps you carry a better line through the bends.. at the end of the day its personal preference, but you know its the guys putting the extra energy into their ride are going to go round the outside of you whilst pointing, laughing and popping a big mono off into the distance...

I've never got it down either. Tried hard round and round a roundabout in Bishops Castle last year. No idea whatsover how close I was / wasn't

great link newelly that guy can handle a bike eh?...but maybe somebody should tell him he should have his knee down!..lol

Nice photo and congrats - Tuonos just love cornering, counter steering and letting the pilot scrape the old knee down - Deeside Industrial Estate my chosen 'funzone' - a few nice roundabouts and clear on a Sunday so you can even 'touchdown' on some standard bends - praying for a clear day this weekend!
