Really appreciate all the help and advice so far.

About the only other thing left to do is sort out the break lights, one rear light seems to stay on all the time and the other gives a low glow when front break operated, swapped the bulbs around and it aint them... whats supposed to be on and what suggestions for the brrak lights.

Also it has a standard exhaust :roll cant see an obvious way to remove the baffles, can it be done ?

Glad you sorted it..

The baffle will come out just undo the spring clips take end can off and smack the spot welds holding the baffle in with a screwdriver and hammer, the baffle will pull out with a pair of grips. Baffle is in connector end...

As for brake lights they shoulpd both operate at same time, are the bulbs the same type??

Update.

Passed the MOT on Friday, taxed and insured, so now fully legal, thaks to Griff for the F&R break light switches

Oil & filter , Air filter and plugs, minor panic and a dash up to Tamworth to get a plug cap from Griff of http://apriliaperformance.co.uk/ gotta say, top bloke, ive already called him a few times, always willing to help, got a brew and warm up in his workshop when i got there.

Gave her a clean and a thrash today......LOVED it, takes some getting used to after the Kwak, trying to get used to having so much engine braking, even managed a small (accidental ) wheelie. :thumbup

Thanks to all on here for the help and advice, hope to meet up some day .

I went from a 99 ZX6R to my 02 Mille and it is totally different.
doesnt feel as quick for some reason but it is!!!
the main difference I found it they really pull hard out of the corners due to the masses of torque.
Wheelies are part of the character especially over crests and bumps on the power.

groover it was an absolutle pleasure!

the kettle is always on!

speak soon buddy!
