Wohhhhhooooooooooo I'm an Alien, I'm a Legal Alien, I'm an Englishman in Nesbit land.

Hello from the Colonies where Tuonos are as scarce as hens teeth. I'm waiting for more Canadians to join!

Hi Another newby to the site, just picked up a 2003 Tuono on Thursday .........maybe that's why it has been raining all weekend! My other steeds are 1974 Z1A and a 2002 CB500, actually the CB belongs to the missus but she lets me commute on it so I'll claim it as mine. The Tuono, well pretty standard except for a very loud exhaust, made by Urban Racing in St Helens. I think I'll have to replace it 'cause I work for the local plod and they'll make even more noise when they hear it.

If only in triplicate!!! well it does keep my colleagues indoors a bit longer so it's a little safer on the roads lol

Welcome Andy... I'm sure that a kooler head on the forum will be an oddity. To me, Wirral sounds like yer from Oz, but the "plod" comment betrays a Brit background. In either case, we could use your input to prevail against some of the less than erudite effluvia that occasionally floats in here...

Hello @ all!
My Name is Martin and my Tuono '03 was the reason to get back on a bike after 25 years of abstinence. I bought my „Diva“ in 2006 and did several tours to italy, esp. the dolomites and Lago di Garda. So, in 4 years of driving I drove about 40000 kilometers (25000 miles).
I hope, my english is not too bad for this forum. If you`d like to see some pictures from me and my bike just visit http://gallery.me.com/scholtyssek or http://www.scholtyssek.eu
Have a nice time, all of you

Bye, Martin

Welcome Martin! The Dolomites surely look like a ****** place to take your Tuono. All those darn corners and elevation changes. I'll bet that you wore out the edges of the tires before you got that nice flat spot in the middle like I do...
And your Inglais is impeccable. More pics of ****** places to ride please!!!!

Greetings Martin. Some cracking pics there mate.
As above, your english is better than some of us on here.
Enjoy the forum

Hi

Another noobie here.

I'm picking up my '08 Factory on Saturday (Rain God permitting)... It's a sort of present to myself after a good season at work (Red Bull Racing F1 team) - Suppose I'd better thank wifey for letting me as well...

I've just spent 2 years on a Buell XB12Ss (Great bike & a nice change from the Fireblades etc that I'd owned before) but I felt that I needed something that gave me more (although quite 'of what', I'm not too sure).

Looking forward to getting involved here on-line as well.

Cheers
Chas

Gday and Chas and welcome to the Zone.

After an intro like that, we all expect some piccies from your 'work'.

And don't worry, the Tuono will deffo give you more

I went from an XB9S nekkid to my Tuono. I'm thinking that you won't be disappointed. 40K km on my 07, all mine since new and she just keeps making me grin.

The only reason that I got rid of the Buell has something to do with my avatar. ******* Bambi!

Tuono - More - something - Oh yes!

It's a lot more than just "something" more.

Wolf,

What on earth is your Avatar? I've been trying to figure it out now for a couple of weeks. It looks like an x-ray of an elbow?

Hello,
Haven't got a Tuono yet, but seriously thinking about it!
At the moment I ride a first gen 1200 Bandit, which I love to bits!
But I want something more modern with better handling, with the grunt that the Bandit has and a similar riding position.
I notice the riding position is very upright. Can lower bars be fitted?

Anyhow, great site, I am enjoying reading through the posts

Hopefully I will join the folds a proper soon!

Steve from down south

Bri

Looks like pinned bones to me!

!

No reason why not mate. Lower would be easier actually as it's the fairing what stops people fitting higher ones.

Welcome

Welcome to you both.

Steve, you can fit flatter bars - Renthal Fatbars are a straight fit, but you need to be careful not to foul the tank on full lock. A 672 Fatbar drops the bars by about 10mm, but if you ride toes on pegs and keep your fore arms flat as you should, you'll find it's a good riding position
