Thanks for the helpful replies.

Another thought!
I have owned the Bandit getting on for 9 years. (I told you I loved it!)
Is the Tuono a keeper, or do owners tend to get a short sharp thrill & then move on?

I'm very different to most, no bikes are keepers for me. Longest i keep bikes is approx 6 months.

On the other hand I bought my first Tuono back in 05, and i have just traded it in for a new one. :yes

Weeksy has a bit of OCD, once he's got a bike really clean, he sells it on. :thumbup:cheers

Welcome SW6,

I'm fairly new here too! It's bloody great though, everyone seems to know the touno's inside out. Just buy one, I don't believe there is anymore fun to be had on two wheels.

That engine.....Wow! Totally addictive! Buy It now

Personally I think you grow to love your Tuono. It's like a bad child that needs love and attention to make it behave the way you want.

You do tend to see a lot of Tuono's in dealerships, and having had a crack with my local dealer it's because you get loonies coming off the likes of zx10's, blades and r1's (license losers)and think they are downgrading to a sit up and ride machine. They get the tuono and find they behave worse than before as teh V60 powerplant demands it. However, a partially sane mind and the need fun will let you love your Tuono Forever. I personlly don't see a bike on the market today teh |I could trade my tuoldo for aprt from a Tuono.

Long live the V60 998.:lol

I had a bandit before the T
What you can do on a bandit will be even better on a Tuono . Seat may be a bit hard.

And my favourite drug is outside waiting for me to finish my shift. She's got a fresh tank of gas, and with any luck, I'll take the long way home and burn a half tank or so. I'd burn the whole tank, but it's floating at 0 C right now and all the metal holding me together gets cold and bitchy after a while.
I'm a V twin man... Love 'em in all their permutations. Including my shovel and TLS. The Tuono, however... Holy **** does that make me into a screaming over testosteronerized freaking *****... **** riding sedately.... heh

Every so often, you come out with the most amazing **** Hamish me mate. You have an uncanny ability to put into words the feelings that make me love my Bella Italiano like you do.

Cheers mate:cheers
