Indicator flashing delay changes

Hi,

I did't make any changes to the bike since I owned it apart from wiring mod as the connecters were melting.

The problem is now and was before, that the indicators flash normal, then they stay on, flash slow etc

Could anyone advise what to check please?

I had the fairing off and one front indicator connection could've been loose. I tightened that but couldn't see anything dodgy.

There is a little relay block wire strapped to the fairing support frame.

I wiggled all indicator wires I could reach but it didn't change anything.

Also my dash fuse blew twice while riding, I guess it has to do with the issue??

The back indicators are Standard RSV I d say and the front ones are LED's.
That is the relay of my bike in the photo- does anyone know if that is the general relay or good for the indicator set up.
If not- do I only need to wire in an LED relay or do I need any other diodes ?
I am looking at a Flasher now and it has 3 wires instead of my two- appears to be extra earth. Would I just run an extra earth to the frame? Thanks a lot.

i'd go with the led's are causing the proble..rsv's are a bit fussy

get a relay that supports the led's .or .you normally have resistors etc to assist sp either or.

aprilia performance stock them...

oops jus seen you are in NZ but most bike shops should be able to help out.

Thanks, that relay sorted it.
I was hoping it gets rid of the fuse blowing problem too but its still doing it every now and then. 2nd fuse up on the dash box but I just had an enlightenment and see what that fuse actually runs- I know it kills the dash so far.

G'day 1000R, may I ask you if you had any trouble with the dash light?, I have LED flasher left over from my R1(needed to add earth as its 3 pin)so used it. Now will only flash when I take dash light out???

I did get a flasher with an earth also but did not have any trouble since. Sorry to not be of more help.redratbike above is more knowledgeable then I am though.
