Hi all.

Well after a 3 year forced break from bikes (thanks mr tractor driver) I'm ready to get back on a bike.

I had a 02 RSVR which got written off in the accident. Now because of my many war wounds I can't really deal with the bum head down stance of the millie. So I'm going to look at a 03 Tuono tomorrow. Now I know these bikes are about 15bhp down on the millie is it easy to reclaim that back? Or is it major work. Is there anything I should particularly look for when I give this ped the once over? Is there any tell tale signs of the starter spag (?) is going to fail or does it just break? Bike has done 25k with FSH

Cheers for any info. I'll get back once I've seen the beast

Not aware of anyone who's found that sort of BHP. Even a full system, setup and renegade airbox only seems to be making 123/124bhp according to graphs i've seen about.

However to be honest, fit a can, Gabro chip and the right gearing i can't see why you'd need to. Don't forget, the Tuono comes geared for170mph. You don't need a heck of a lot of that in the real world.

25k is a little high for me.. but not really ridiculous in the real world

If it has a proper FSH their won't be a problem with the engine etc. Some would argue its peaking around that mileage. Even IF the bhp is down it won't matter as you'll get more out of it because IMHO T's are easy and better to raz than the Mille.

Just get back on a bike mate and enjoy yourself. [watch out for them fuggin farmers, ouch]

Doz, i may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that the Gen 2 Touno has the exact same power as the Mille. That was one of the selling points for the Tuono, that it was a sports bike with the fairing removed without any of that "retuned for more midrange" bollocks.

Don't know about the original Tuono though compared to the original Mille.
