Hi folks...My name is Mark From Banbury Uk and im having my Touono 1000R delivered on Thursday complete with Akraprovic cans as an extra for just £200. ... Not a bad deal I thought for £7350 in total on the road :thumbup

Just hoping I've made the right decision after having a big laid back Pan European... Just wanted something a bit more practical and fun for around town and something to enjoy on the weekends.

I've had a couple of naked bikes in the past including the Kawasaki Z1000 and Honda CB 1300 and wondered how this machine compared to them :eh

Im a little concerned on the comfort side of things and wondered if there was any space under the seat for gloves, leggings .:uhoh.

Also.... Does anybody no of any GOOD sites I can visit that do after market bits & bobs that give it that personal touch as it all seems to be a bit limited on what i've come across so far.:thumbdown.

Look forward to your replys.

Regards
Mark

Great site by the way :whoop

v.comfy, nothing to worry abouut. I just bought my first tuono yesterday. bought it in Bristol and road it all the way back to SW Scotland with only two stops for fuel. Might not be as comfy as the Pan though.

Hello mark, welcome to the site:thumbup
Of course you've made the right choice!!!!....the most fun you can have on two wheels!, sounds like you've got yourself a good deal there as well.:yes:yes
Check out AF1 racing for some truly trick bits and bobs, you'll get plenty of friendly advice on here as well mate!
Underseat storage?...nah, not really...packet of **** maybe, although there is a secret bit under the seat cowl!
You didn't really get it for practicality though did you?
Wheelies when you feel like it and plenty of low down stomp! FUN FUN FUN !

Hi and welcome Mark.

I am a tall bugger and i find it really comfy compaired to the the Blade and R1 i had before.

Could do with changing the seat to maybe a gel seat not sure yet the most miles i have done so far was around 200 and it was fine.

Let us know what you find.

Was your price all in with the 200 for the cans as well? or was the 200 on top of this??

Cheers and enjoy

definately the right choice, not sure about the practical bit but unbeatable for FUN.enjoy your new fun factory

I'm 6-5 All tellya it's comfy

I think the Tuono is a great choice for an experienced rider, that wants a haul *** sport bike, with a comfortable riding position. :cheers

Never mind the monkey humping football, gixxer scum hoards. :rolleyes

I'm just starting to look for some soft saddlebags that will clear the high exhaust can. A magnetic tank bag is right out. :dunno

Do I take it the magnetic tank bag will not fit due to the shape of the tank or is there some other reason?

Pitty as I have from the past an Oxford tank bag that would be just the righht size!

Hello my friend...Well if you can fit on it comfy it should not be a problem :)

As for the price....The bike was £6999......£150 OTR charge..... Then £200 for the cans. Total £7349.

It's a 2008 model on a 2009 plate.

Ive have spent a fair few quid on extra's which include : Data tool system 4 alarm & data tag... Scottoiler...R&G crash protectors... Front & rear bobbins for paddock stand's.

That's all included in the finance though thank god!

I Wanted a front fender extender but can I get one for any model above 2005 model ....Not a chance :-( ......Does anybody no where ?

Hi,
I got a fender extender on ebay from M&S Motorcycles in Newcastle. It's made by Pyramid and marketed as "Fenda Extenda", Part Number 05705, RRP £18.99 but M&S were selling them for £9.95. Give them a try.

Here's a picture.....

Thanks for the info bud :thumbup

Just need to double check that your fender extender is fittted on a tuono model after 2006 :eh.

Just that my local dealer uses pyramid and no luck:thumbdown

Nice picture of the bike by the way...Like to see one of the whole machine if possible.

Many thanks... :clap
