Had a ride out last week end, up to westgate road to check out the shops & have some chips.
Headed out west, planned to go to hexam, then onto blanchlands, stanhope & back home.
I got lost, missed a turn, almost ran out of petrol, the reserve light was on for what seemed like 30 minutes. Petrol stations are non-existant in that part of the county. Found a quad dealer that reluctantly sold me half a gallon which knocked the reserve light out for about 2 miles.
Went back to Hexam to fill up & found the correct road to blanchlands, where they serve the best sausage sarnies in the county.
Went onto Stanhope, via crawlryside bank & back home, via durham. A jolly good ride out.
