what kind of cnut puts an ohlins sticker on sachs shock!!

bike has been handling like a sack of ****, worked out it need a stronger spring. took shock off bike, hmmm that bit says sachs... i wonder. yup ohlins sticker covering the sachs logo on the reservoir! :mad1

still, explains the handling eh!

tbh was thinking about selling it cos i cant get on with it, but they dont seem to be selling at the minute. am hoping that sorting the suspenders may be a way to rekindle the love affair

so, what are my options. can the standard units have their spring changed, or is it a complete shock i am after? if so what do people reccomend that wont break the bank.:thumbup

thanks all

tom

doh!! is a 2003. sorry. not been a good day!

roy - would that be a straight swop do you think?

I had an Ohlins from a Mille on my 2003 Tuono, I had to wind the bottom adjuster up, but otherwise it went straight on.
And yes it did make a difference, the bike was much more supple.

i dont see any reason why not the gen 1 T is basicly the same rolling chassie as the early millie ..just set/check the length with the ride hight adjuster on the bottom ..321 mm +-1.5mm from the center of the top mounting bush to the center of the lower mounting bush...

Thanks for all the replies.

Googling about, it seems the 2001-2003 mille is the right one. According to Internet wisdom the earlier ones require different dog bones linkage thing and are a slightly different shock. The later ones are too short...

So. Has anyone got any experience of getting a Sachs nit rebuilt with a different spring? Was it worth it? Or would I be better of going for something like a nitron with the combined damping adjustment?
