decided to fit the dr rossi chip by myself, have done all that was said in the info...and now my bike wont fire :(( any ideas?

along simular lines as me? lol... i have the original titanum chip, and the small aprillia single outlet exhaust...im assuming they were made for each other as some rsvs didnt come with them? you think Id be able to sell as a package?

I'm not sure what chips came with what pipes. Worth a try to sell them together if they worked OK on yours, even if they were not originally sold as a 'set'.

Why did you buy the Dr Rossi?

Rob :)

because ive got a problem called modding lol...i cant leave my vehicles alone :p

I love the mille, the pure grunt, but wanted a little more, bought a decent end can, and renagade air filter, so thought id try a chip to match.. my bike is the championship edtion (apprently) came with a original sports exhaust (rather than the skud missle) and a different chip in the ecu (so ive been told) but need to confirm this...if its the case i could sell both as a set to someone non championship...

What year is the 'championship'? Is it an R or a 'plain' RSV?

Other than the ti chip and ti pipe are there other differences to the standard model of that year (before it was modded)?

Rob :)

my bike is a 2000 model, and its a plain rsv, just with the different exhaust and chip, think the standard chip was the a63 (?) a friend of mine has the same and he was the one who told me the differences (it was his fault!)..thats the only changes as far as I know..

There was no "Championship model". It's either an RSV or an RSVR. :yes

but some rsvs came with the massive exhaust and standard chip, and some with the single outlet, smaller sxhaust and titanum chip...both being standard rsvs.....not saying your wrong, just wandering why??

Mine was once a standard 2003 RSV with standard chip and the (huge) Saddam's supergun exhaust. It's had a lot of mods done since. Most of the mods were done before I bought it in Oct 2010.

got no answers to that but a 'lol' for 'Saddam's supergun exhaust' :p

When an RSV was purchased from new, there were dealer options available to the customer which included the Ti exhaust and chip. The RSVR came with them anyway, along with the standard items. Not many folk took this option but it's not impossible that some did.

However, its more likely that your RSV has had the exhaust and chip added at a later date. Mille's are fairly well modified bikes, not many owners leave them completely bog standard. Exhaust, ECU chips, airboxes and gearing / sprockets 16/44 being the most commonly performed mods. Trust me, there was no "Championship" model, limited edition or otherwise. The only limited editions to speak of were the Haga replica and the Colin Edwards Replica. And despite what some people believe there was never an official "Troy Corser" replica. ;)

thats fine mate, thats for the update :D thats what I come on this forum is info lol, so what your saying is I have a single outlet titanum exhaust and chip which was a up grade to the standard rsv? all I wanted to know was if I could sell the pair as a upgrade to someone that had a standard skud misile rsv...and I can :D was prob lucky to buy a standard rsv with these upgrades....

Yes, I've been having a bit of a read elsewhere and they (ti chip and pipe) were definitely sold as a set and as rsv_ecosse says they were often fitted at purchase by the dealer. Seems they were quite an expensive upgrade to standard.

would be interested in how much difference they actually made for the money.....to be honest ive been very tempted in re-fitting the standard exhaust becasue apprently it was made by aprovik, and my new end can is fitted with a link pipe thats smaller than the original...seems to me that would restrict it slightly....hmmmmm......
