Griffs coming to Newcastle in the north east!

Hey guys,

Well my bikes due a service so griff is coming to do it. So, while he is blessing the north east with his presence, does anyone else want any work doing? i've got a garage to work in, and a kettle! So anyone else who wants anything doing is welcome to come along.

Dates wise, it's looking like second or third week of October. Date to be confirmed.

So is anyone else interested?

Sounds good! Think some suspension set up is on the cards for me like.

Where abouts in Newcastle are you? (I'm in Benton). I think Glen might be interested too. We'll all have to have a meet up, sure there'll be more of us around!
 
hi anton, i'm up alnwick way but would be very greatful of some valve clearance checks and a general once over from the guru...?! i'd make the trip down definately, and would even go so far as to suggest a 'shakedown' run over heartside!! (any excuse!) keep me posted, cheers, james
 
Cool sounds good guys. I'll try and get a provisonal date down asap. I'll start
a list so:

me - service and suspension set up
bigun - suspension setup
jwer - valve clearance check and tune up

any more guys I'll add as we go along so griff knows what he's in for!

Bloomin eck, yr just roond the corner. I'm actually just near Four Lane Ends. Usually fill up at Morrisons in Killingworth on a Sunday morning on me way out.
 
No way, i'll have to meet you there one sunday for a ride out. I'm farming up in Northumberland at the moment, but back beginning of october. Hopefully get to formally introduce myself when Griff comes up!
 
If I decide to keep mine It would be good to have the valve's checked... ZX10R The force is Strong :)

Hi am from wallsend and iam up for some of griff's spannering need shims checked co2 check carbs balanced and have a front end judder under hard braking. let me know when and i can plan a holiday in. this saves me a long trip to tamworth :doug
 
Anton mate, i'll be up for coming down to see the man and get my forks serviced!!

I'll speak to Billy (bufallo) and crash at his place if a run afterwards is on!!

am in, i need valve clearance check, co and tb's sync, Andi you can crash at mine no prob.
 
Whey I dont know if I'm too late or if he'll have time, but my service light is on and I would rather trust someone who knows aprilias to do it. Also a quick glance over the bike would be appreciated. Let me know if its possible. Cheers
 
Hey guys, update time again, and i have a date in mind, just got to run it by Griff, will give him a call this week. I'm avaliable on Monday the 5th of October if thats good with everyone else?

me - service and suspension set up
bigun - suspension setup

rsv05marc, do you need a major or minor service?

Next update to confirm date for sure with Griff once I know you guys can make it. Plenty of time to give the bosses a heads up!

Hi anton, that date should be fine, let me know. As for service I believe it is just a minor (18,000) is that right?

I'm def working that date but if i have enough notice can get it covered no problem. that pretty much goes for any date buddy. As long as i have a few weeks notice i'll be there.......................:thumbup

hi anton, cant say for sure weather i can make the date due to my work, but i'll do my best to get the day off! just out of interest, do you know what griff charges for a major service? just thinking if hes going to do a valve clearance check i may as well go the whole hog...!? cheers for all the organisation anyhow!
