I've had quite a few enquiries regarding an AP service day or two at mine this year. Griff is up for it so if anybody is interested in getting any work done post up here or give the shop a ring to book a place with Sharon, no dates are fixed yet so everything is still quite flexible. :thumbup

Alright Mak595, As I said no dates fixed for this yet as I normally leave it to Griff and Sharon. I did see your post on the other fourm and I don't want to step on your toes, if you want to do one then no prob here m8, it's just there has been anywhere between 5 and 9 bikes here so people have started to ask the question. Not been on any of the fourms recently owing to a pretty **** 2011.

I'm close to Liverpool, would love to have some work done. Suspension especially. What does Griff charge, is he reasonable?

np spooky, not really bothered if i have to travel a bit, as long as Griff gets to fettle my bike :) but it would be nice to get it sorted before the season starts.

Hope your 2012 is a better year

Cheers mak, I don't think it could be any worse !

Jon, all I can say is ask around m8. I wouldn't let anybody else touch my bike apart from Griff and Lewis (his apprentice) and as for price I think he's bob on. Put it this way here is a guy, ex techy wizard to Aprilia, who is willing to travel around the country to service peoples bikes and loves doing it, cheaper than main dealers and somebody who cares about your bike (sometimes more than the owners) you can trust him and he will show what's going on as he does the work. Phone the shop for a price 01827285500 for the work your looking at getting done. Like I said ask around see what other people say.

Thanks Spooky, I want the valve clearances doing as well as a major service and if time the suspension setting up properly. To my understanding, doesn't the engine have to be sat overnight to completely go cold for the valve clearances to be done right? If not then I might wait and let Griff do them. Plus I imagine it's a ***** of a job and will take a while. Don't want to monopolyze his entire day when i know others are waiting patiently. Christ, better get saving, just re-read what I want doing.

ive just done mine its not too bad of a job especcially for griff as he knows what hes doing i still need my tb's and co2's setting up and was thinking of traveling to him but if this is not to long away i will hang on for it

March 13th, isn't long from now is it. I only use my bike for weekend blasts so it will soon be here. Is it a garage in Liverpool or something similar. Could end up being a few of us there. Will have a laugh either way.

i think its at spookys house he hosts it and griff gomes down if there is enough people for it to be worth his while

i will fone him tomorrow and book in as i want some mirror blanking plate aswel

Yeah Kev (SPOOKY) host's them at his house, as he has a double garage, he has been hosting them there for many years now.
Kev used to be a mechanic himself, he also has worked for Griff and helped him out last year when they were short staffed after Mikey left. besides Kev and Griff there's Lewis Griffs apprentice. would only let one of them three work on my bike and no one else. Have been to the last few and weve always had a great turn out. hope to see you there. i spoke to sharon today as i only need an oil change so if you guys need major stuff doing then i'llleave it as it has to be worth griff coming up and its hardly cost effective an oil change LOL later dudes

Hey up Dazzer Jess and me will be up for the Brew. Look forward to seeing you Ride safe Ken.

sharon rung me yesterday about booking in but i'm stuck on a couple of 12hr day shifts atm, i'll ring 2morrow to sort it out.

Tell Glen you need the time off to sort your bike Much more important than that power st.

Right Fellas just an update I've spoken to Sharon today and it would seem that with all the provisional posts etc this will end up as a two day event. The problem we have is that Griff can't do a back to back visit so the plan as it stands is day 1 = 13th March, day = 20th March. To confirm or make a booking phone Sharon at the workshop ( 01827285500 ) between 08:30hrs to 14:45 hrs. AP will be asking for a small deposit as in the past there have been the odd no shows which have made it a bit of a problem when Griff has to take into account fuel costs etc.
All below is provisional.

13th March
Mak595 : Tune and suzzy setup
SPOOKY : Valve clearances and TB
Crazy Leg5 : TB Co2
jon03mille : Major service and suzzy setup

20th March
Adzed : Valve clearances, coolant change and personality transplant
Dazzer : Oil change and other fluids
Jon Foyle (this might be jon03mille) Full service

Other names that are in the hat are :
Al H
Mr Tourette
Judderman
And a geez from Tuonozone

As I said, if the above can confirm , cancel or change the day with Sharon we can get the ball rolling.

Ok guys, me, myself and I - that's me jon03mille aka Jonathan Foy will be aiming for the 13th March. Valve clearance, full service and if time suspension setup on the 13th March. Who the f is Jon Foyle? :nana

Guess the shop isn't open on Saturdays but will calling 1st thing Monday morning so the 13th for me is as good as set in stone. Looks like 2 or 3 places still open for the 20th. :thumbup

Sorry about that Jon, I'm old and my hearing isn't what it used to be :doh I'm sure Sharon said Foyle......ah well never mind.
