Need a grab rail for when taking out my daughter.
Tried love handles but they move around to much.

It's a Rentec I have on mine m8, got it on good auld eBay for a bargain price.

Don't take the missus on the back that often but it came in handy a couple of years ago when we toured the NW of Scotland.

Before we left, ladden down quite heavily!!:-

The grabrail takes about 5 mins to fit and remove which is handy. Just lift the pillion seat, line up and two bolts at the front hold it on, then the lockset under the seat utilises its bolts to secure it at the back.

I actually think there is one for sale on eBay just now.

 bloody hell how wide are those panniers  and what was it like filtereing through traffic or did you just take off :biggrin

Regards the grabrail, do you leave it on all the time or is it easy to remove when your not carrying pillions :dunno I was thinking of getting one, I also have the love handle grips but haven't used it yet so cant comment on what they're like :dunno

I only have the rear pillion seat and grabrail fitted if I plan to take someone on the back, which really isn't very often, maybe half a dozen times a year at the most. Rest of the time I just have the seat cowl fitted.

We tried those love handle thingies before but the problem with those we found, was that under any sort of moderate to heavy braking, the pillion ends up sliding forward into me, which shifts a fair bit of wait forward and upsets the entire handling of the bike - not good!!!. At least with a grab rail the pillion can brace either forward or backwards depending if the bike is accelerating or braking.

Another thing we found that helped was to buy a roll of that stuff you can see on the rear seat in the pic above. The missus cut a piece to fit and then all that was needed was a long piece of elastic sewn into it underneath and bobs yer uncle - a home made Triboseat. :thumbup

Cheers guys.:thumbup
Just purchased that grab rail from ebay.
Seems a bargain £22.50 with post.
Thanks again :thumbup

At least i know its coming from a RSV zone buddy.
Cheers mate:thumbup

Cheesy.
Can you use it with the seat cowl in place or do you need to take it off when using cowl. Thanks Andy

Grab rail now fitted, even fits with cowl.
Not sure about the look but safety must come first when carrying a pillion.
So thanks cheesy for a quality item.:thumbup
