Geordie hoon - borders

Might even start in Durham,,,,,,,,,,,,never been there, that I can remember, heard it's full of Fuds so I won't stand oot to much. :thumbup

Good ride out planned there Mr B.

As you say Mr A, loads of fuds in Durham, but I still think you could out-fud them all.

Im in.

The way you lot are test riding new bikes, I might be the only one on a Tuono.

the T is getting an outing :crazy remember to check your brakes as the brake lights seemed to be constantly on the last time we were out (could be a dicky switch) :lol :lol:lol sure you don't want to take the DRZ cos theres some nice fields up that neck of the woods :lol

are you going to meet at Littlethorpe then over to Durham?

My steed is poorly so i dropped it off at griffs today. if i get it back in time im up for this.
Will keep ya posted !

I spent most of my early road riding on 2 strokes, not much engine braking - that's my excuse.

IMHO, I prefer to feather the brakes into the corners, that way, if there is something unexpected happens, there is less chance of grabbing a handful & losing the front end - I hope.

BJ was having a dig at me not so long back for using the brakes into corners, then at the next stop he was white as a sheet cos he overcooked one of the bends.

I often follow you lot & never see a brake light for ages, I used to think it was your bikes that had a broken brake light switch. Then I twigged on you were using your engines to do the braking.

I am too long in the tooth to change now, just as well, cos I am always at the back, playing catch up.

Anyway, what time are we setting off, some of you old fuds need a lot more beauty sleep than most.

Bike wise is on at Durham this week end - I hope to attend that at some point.

Croft Nostalgia week end is on 3rd & 4th of Aug - I hope to attend that, I have been told its like a mini Goodwood Festival of Speed, but with flat caps, whippets & black pudding.

was talking to GF about the old bikes we used to ride when younger at the weekend in relation to how much tyres have changed :yes how did we go round corners on those pram wheels :no
doubt I will make bikewise as I have a busy weekend ahead but hoping to get out for a couple of hours Sunday tea time :thumbup give me a shout if you fancy a bimble guys :thumbup
as for back brakes I went to the expense of fitting rear sets and find I still don't use it so they may be coming off as my ageing knees don't like them :lol
you could always lead OT but then again who knows where we would end up :lol
will have a look at the meet times as we need to consider Mr A and Roysten :yes may start a little later and finish early evening :dunno
whats your thoughts gents :dunno
