Gen1 vs Gen2 vs Factory etc

Like Nob says, you can believe what you want - but a Racing has EXACTLY the same engine as the other Tuoldo's. In standard trim they put out between 112 and 115 bhp at the back wheel. Some Dyno's vary a bit, but most are within a couple of percent of each other.

My Tuoldo showed 122 hp on the dyno with the Evoluzione airbox, Akra 2+2 pipes and a custom map on the PCIII. My mate Mel has a Racing and with the Ape race can and chip on his we could chase each other around Cadwell all day. Performance was identical.

I think the "official" figure is 126 bhp. But that's at the crank, not the rear wheel.

Its actually 18 but I didn't want to brag ;-]

A Gen 2 yi say!!

If all you want it for is to plod about on, does it matter what it is or what trick bits it may or may not have, you won't outride it.
Just do it!

I'm thinking that myself actually. But knowing how I am, I'll think "oh I wish I went for blah blah instead" I really used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure sure.

gadgie min go and test some see what ya like.I tested a Tuoldo just to try it oot, wasnae sure of looks or colour but ah wis well surprised when I took it oot. Mair comfy than the gen 2 IMHO. Still think the Gen 2s look better but its growing on me:yes

Try Rico's one out. Them silver ones are the novice friendly version of the Tuono, then when you get more familiar get a black one :eek

Everyone knows red ones are fastest:thumbup

Well it's gone quiet here, did you get round to buying a bike Slo' ?

Nah! nae yet. Really funcy een though. This Fud run of Rico's might motivate me in ti getting een. Howiver as mi second choice of user name was going to "tightfistscottishgitfaethenortheast" or my third choice of "naepocketsoordeep" I might jist ging for a Gen 1 as they seem a wee bittie cheaper.

I will keep yis a posted though.

BTW, If I de ging for a Gen 1, will I hiv to get rid o that massive can? If so fit should I fit instead? Can it be converted ti twin cans or is at a lang story?

Gadgie min ah bought a can fae fleabay for £75 made a huge change to the midrange and weight. power wheelies in 2nd nae probs just waiting for the 16 tooth sprocket tae land through the letter box

Ah a fellow gadgie at hert. "wheelies" WTF's wheelie min? Nah din a couple o those by mistake in the past nearly crapped mi breeks :)

Gadgie - you dont "need" to fit 2+2 exhausts to a Gen 1 . Any slip on can for an Aprilia will be good.
