Hi Peeps
I have just returned from the isle of Man where I bought my 2005 Gen 1 1000R,
28,000 miles
Fluoro Red with a satin black frame.
Carbon bits and pieces
Evo airbox conversion
Maxton fork internals
re-built Sachs rear shock
Power commander 3
SP Performance can (F***ing loud)
ASV Levers
apparently Tuned by "Slick Bass" for mid range grunt
I have a dyno sheet showing 119bhp at 10,250rpm and 72.8 Lbs ft torque
I had to sell the first Gen 1 I had as my EX missus hated headbutting me every time I rolled off the throttle.
now she has gone and the new wife is bike friendly.
I will post the sheet and a photo when I work out how to do it on this forum
I had a Honda CB1300, but it was like riding a Ford Mondeo Boring!!!!

Good move mate the gen1 is a superb bike. Out of interest what's the difference like in suspension between your old one and the new one with rebuilt Sachs shock and forks revalved? I'm thinking of getting my Sachs shock rebulit and forks revalved. Is it a big difference?

Hi Pauloblade
the suspension seems much plusher than I remember of the first Tuono I had.
I do know that it sticks like no nails on the twistys
saying that it could be the suspension is just properly set up

Cheers. yeah mine skips about in corners. Had it set up but the bikes on 32k miles now so the suspensions definitely getting tired. Hopefully a rebuild will sort it out.
