i ride fast. so no problems in town traffic. but i get a usable first gear on the track and it's more suited for fast road-riding. it still pulls power wheelies in first and second, no problem! and i can laungh it from standstill way better! i had 15-43. hated the damn thing! )
16/44 is the way to go for sure. I changed on the last RSV and the current still has standard gearing, feels awful going from 16/44 back to the 17/42 :unhappy
I prefer 16/42 as it still has the grunt :devious 16/44 makes it feel like an IL4 to me :dunno plus I'm lazy, can't be arsed to keep changing up & down all the time.
