Last time I came back from a ride, I had 141 miles on the ODO and the fuel light had been on for a while. I was feeling brave and thought I'd try to make it home, and did. Normally I'd refuel at about 125 miles.

So, went for a spin today and first port of call was the nearest garage, about 3/4 of a mile away.

Result? £20.35 to fill up with 17.71 litres of juice! Given that it's an 18 litre tank, I reckon I timed that just about right! :)

yeh that's its only downfall I think, if only it had a 22-23ltr tank it would be half decent

95 km before the yellow light went on... Of course I was riding like a complete c*** at the time.

If I am on the highway I can get over 200 km easily. and usually have 3-4 litres to go. Around town, I've run out after 45 km on the yellow, and on the highway go over 80 and still had a sniff or two in the tank. It's all in how much I've been riding like an ******.

Light oan aboot 100-105 on average, way less if canin it, we bit more if just toodlin aboot, seem tae be averagin 35 miles tae the gallon overall which seems bloody good for havin so much fun

Liz.

160 miles
I was following on mine with a gallon can of fuel on the rack.
When we filled up it took about 16.5 litres.
It's all dependent upon how hard you ride the feckers.

ahm nae lucky enough tae go oot wi a support crew so huvnae taken the gamble much beyond 125 miles between fills )

Same here bud. If I wanted a bike for mpg I'd get a Honda 50. This buga is so much fun I don't give a **** about it

well on me gen 1 the light usually comes on @95miles give or take a few, ive pushed it along the friggin road with 128 on the trip meter. on me recent Germany trip i had 158 all gone.not by choice we just didnt pass any bloody petrol stops. stopped in the eiffel mountains in the pitch black draining fuel outta my mates ktm. every fuel stop we had i always put a fiver more in mine then the other 2, kawi zed thou, and ktm 990 adventure. thirsty bugger.. or it might just be im as aerodynamic as a garage door.. still wouldnt swop it..

FWIW we took Liz's out to find out what the max tank range was - we tour Spain most years on our bikes, and you can't always find a fuel stop, being able to go to 140 miles between stops can save a fuel stop on the run home from the ferry etc.

Nae probs BF min, good work, saved the rest o us fearty catz huvnae tae dae it.

And just what the **** do flatulent felines have to do with gas mileage??

heh

Ran out at 162 or 168 miles. 40 plus on the light. Early morning run and no fuel stations open till 10 am.

Bloody hell Aldo, you must have had your pipe and slippers on that day! ;)

It was too early, it was so cold ma bod wis ridgid and the sun wis so low it wis like driving into an effin stobe light.

Camped down at Porlock on Exmoor start of September with a mate on his CB1000R. We rode down the A39 to Padstow and back, cruising at about 80mph, with faster bursts for overtaking etc. Fuel light on my Gen 2 came on at 110 miles and I kept going til 140 miles when I bottled it and filled up. There was a bit of fuel left, can't remember how much though.

;) Light comes on for me at arownd 87-98 !!! am I rideing it to hard  fill up with arownd 14.5 LTS never pushed the reserve to see what it will do .

That sounds like most of the rest of us free... I have no ******* clue as to how Aldo gets the kind of mileage he does... unless he's lying his *** off.

Am a fud almighty but everything a post ( info wise is true ) If yer call me a liar I'll seek yer oot and reduce yer matter to fluid. Got it yer Pilgrim.

The run Maddot and me did wis over the Leitch. I called a 5.30am start and me mucker wis up for it. Me I've got no brains, so we fired off. Work it oot yersel How long can yer run yer bike time wise afore ya need fuel. It was a smashin day but freezin and we were riding with the sun very low and flickering between the trees. Every fuel station we came on (2) didnae open till 10 o'clock.

Don't ever under estimate the driving abillities of a dude that has to do whit ever to get there.

If a kept ma bike in second or third gear fir the whole of ma run I'm sure it wid sook loads of juice, who know's a might even run oot of it efter 100 miles or less.

Whit does that mean. I'm fast as feck and I'll run yer slow arse off the road?

Rant done mucker. It's me birthday today and I've managed to hit 53.

Cheers mucker.
