Was sitting thinking about radial calipers and how to get them onto a Tuono...

I thought Hmmmmm

Superduke...

they're 54mm at top and 60mm bottom.

What's the Tuoldo ?

The easy answer is of course, Ohlins... but DAMN they're not cheap.

Fit the showa forks & brakes from a Gen II
You will either need to change the wheel or fit 2.5mm spacers behind the disks
AF1 sell them (aprilia.me used to)

but I have to ask why?

Quiet boring Friday of pondering mate :)

Ok - I just wondered

I might get flamed for this - but I prefer the feel of the non-radial brakes
Ultimate braking power is identical (despite what MCN jourmo's think)
assuming all piston diameters & lever lengths are the same

08 tuono is 51 53 Showa 51 56 ohlins not sure about older model, can't say I notice radial any better.best brake upgrade I made is a brembo radial master cylinder always transfer it when I buy a new bike

I put a set of GenII radial showas on my Milleono trackbike conversion - used the GenI shower lower Triple and GenI Ohlins upper as the older shower upper is 53mm whereas GenII showas are 51mm. I did it because I had them anyways ans I quite like the look but as the other guys have said there's no noticeable braking power difference.

Deacs :thumbup
