went out for a spirited scratch along A and B roads with my mate, hes an ex club level racer on a ducati 1198s
ive got a gen 1 tuono, so had to push to keep up on times
was out for about 4 hours in total with breaks for fuel and coffee
the last half hour I had forearm pump so much so I had to pull in in an attempt to stretch them out

What can be done to my riding style to stop this
or what causes pump
I know a quick fix thanks to a physio but would rather prevent it than pull over to treat it

What's forearm pump?

Do you mean cramp due to over use of the muscle and lactic acid build up?

Ah... you mean "chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS)". :D

Good summary here: Arm Pump - Racer X Virtual Trainer

The recommended solution is ride more often!!! (if you are a moto cross rider) or other exercise which increased cardio vascular exercise.

More cardiovascular exercise.
Tried Keep your hands loose during driving.
Softened the brake and clutch levers and if you are a worrior rider (your mate have a duk sb), lower your handlebars to get easier pressure in the front without crimp your forearms and wrist(if you twist the handlebar to the front, you earn at least 1-5'').
If you 're not comfortable with the pace of your front, reduced the rate to be.
Take (after recommendation of an expert) glutamine supplements (for nitrogen balance ), as well as magnesium-calcium-d3.
Keep trying & more ride

I would go out with a slower friend tbh. If you are pushing that hard on the road to keep up and it's causing physical pain

i should really add im an ice hockey player, so cardio isnt an issue, neither is fore arm strength

i can appreciate people saying slow down etc etc but i was well within my limits as a rider, i have ridden faster for longer on this bike

point i was getting as is, i dont know what has caused this, like i said ive ridden faster for longer on this bike and my cardio is up to scratch

could just be a one off, although i havent really noticed it before, might try stretching before i ride or getting fore arm supports see if it makes a difference

Glad you raised it, as we all now know what CECS is!

It might help if you raise your hands alternatively, and punch the air three or four times, to help the blood flow back up the arm, when riding. ;)

As you will be filled with the joy of riding a Tuono, the added exuberance would be most fitting. :thumbup. :lol

PS: Ice hockey is a great sport :thumbup. I played roller hockey and also done a lot of ice skating in me 'youf'.

A lack of salt can cause muscle cramp, so after your ****, swallow your load, I'm told its salty.
