Flywheel trouble

Well done matey , dont know what your dealer/mechanics were so worried about , glad the DAF wheel stud worked ok for you , I just filed mine slightly and jammed a big socket on the end.
With the disc bobbins/floaters I spray brake cleaner on them and then jam a screwdriver in the centre of each of the bobbins and turn them till the free of grit and dirt , some people replace there discs with out even trying this trick ?
Dont forget to wipe the excess off and be steady with the brakes for the first few miles until the all the brake cleaner if off the surface of the disc

The local dealer has a bit of a monopoly up here, so their reputation stinks anyway.

We just took a grinding wheel to the stud while we heated the flywheel up, so only took 5-10 mins :)

Tho I did get some funny looks when I told them the wheel stud was for my bike !!

I will follow this procedure, which I think I found on here anyway, looks real easy, which I like !!

The bike started first time this morning, which is wet n cold, in just a turn or two, so so so much better than before. I have faith in it now !!

Also, the guy bent the side stand a bit and now it doesnt feel like I am going to topple off it every time I sit on it !! :)
