Heres what i found ....

1. It is 10 degrees colder on a T than on ANY superbike i ever rode !!
My Nuts have turned to ice !(must get wrapped up more)

2. My mates on CBR`s and GIXERS now cannot keep up with me !!
I spent half of mornin slowin down and stoppin a LOT !

3. Every1 stares when i ride past them !

4. The bloody mirrors always want to twist inwards (cause of wind)

5. The seat feels like a brick after 2 hours !!! (is there aftermarket comfys? )

6. It was insanely good fun !!

7. I wish i bought one years ago......

8. Why do i STILL have an insane grin on my face ...... ?

9. My mates had a go ... and wud not give it back !

10. I struggled to keep the front end down.

11. Its hard work at low speed thru town !!

12. im STILL ****** cold !!

Overall best fun i had in ages...needs some minor things doing to suit my style of riding though..gearing...seat..mirrors !

Yes it is, welcome to the cold side :)

This is normal, get used to it :)

See above answer

4. The bloody mirrors always want to twist inwards (cause of wind)

Tighten them up then, or remove them and fit something better

Try moving around more :)

15t sproket makes this a tiny bit better

i'd personally wait a while till you get used to the bike a bit more. might even already have it done :dunno

I agree with Nobist, get used to the bike first before you drop a tooth, ask the dealer to do it after your first service.....

I want mates like this LOL.

When we go out, everyone else on the road is roadkill and left in the weeds. However all my riding mates are ex-racers or MX racers and bloody insanely quick.

I am still at the back of the pack on ANY bike with my mates.

However, we've still never been overtaken on the roads or had anyone able to play with us.

I've only had mine a couple of months and have done 1700 miles on it. Its bloody lush!
I might get the suspension done, someone reckons its only about £40, cheap enough & as I pissed about with the susp on my last bike, a 636, and didn't feel any better so it went back to standard it will be money well spent

A pal of mine has a ZX10 and got his done but I can't remember at the mo'. I'll ask him next time I see him. Not sure if there's anyone up the hill?

Thinking about it, should bloody do this myself.....

That was the whole point of the ohlins:drool

Sorry, gotta disagree

Reducing the number of teeth on the front sprocket makes the front climb more not less as it "shortens" the gearing, as does increasing the number of teeth on the back. This improves low speed smoothness as the revs are higher in each gear for a given speed.

If you wanna keep the front down you need to go the other way, but it will be even worse in town (or ride round in first gear).

Best option is put the 15 on the front, to improve town riding and acceleration, drop the yokes down the forks (more front bias and quicker turn in) and go slightly softer on the rear with a more progressive compression. This will force the rear shock to gradually compress under acceleration and help keep the front on contact with the ground.

While mono wheel action is great fun, it slows you down massively.

I agree with a lot of what your saying their Patrick but why does no one ever mention smooth clutch and throttle ? Twins are a lot diferrent from 3s or 4s. A lot of lads jump on big twins and have only ridden 600-1000cc Japs and are just freaked out and don't give the bikes or themselves a chance. A big twin[specially an Italian one] is a whole new ball game.

Valid point Nobby, the thing I like best about my T is the fact that I have to actually ride it to get the most out of it, not just sit there and turn the throttle like on the Jap stuff.
