how do all, wonder if anyone can help

my clocks have been playing up for a while as in not registering the correct speed and sometimes not registering any speed at all. then its seems that the clocks have re set ( time and back to kph ) and now dont register speed at all.
is this a sensor issue or clock related?

also, changing the subject, what is the best way to increase engine performance, i already have a race chip and full akraprovic system but would like more power! would'nt we all i hear you say..........

cheers

what year .. i'd say 98-03???

clocks reset when battery is low this is common .. as for speed reading could be speedo sensor dodgy or may just need the bolts on the rear disc cleaning

more power .. next set is some sort of modded airbox...go chat up Griff at aprilia performance he'll point you to what works..have you modded the gearing?.. biggest change you can make really..sacrifice a bit of topend for more low and midrange grunt.. then you are into 57mm throttle bodies /pc3 with custom or advanced map to suit..after this its headwork/cams and 1060 bigbore kit...kkeerrching

nice one redrat, all great advice.ill tap griff up.

yeah, year 2001.

thanks again andy

be careful if the battery is low on power ...mucho damage can be done to the starter sprag clutch ..as i know to my cost !!!

My bike seems to have an electrical component wired in and hasn't lost its clock data once but my 99 bike used to all the time.

There must have been a mod by aprilia to sort this and I think mine has been done.

Hi Andy

Mark (redratbike) also does a great modified collector that makes a huge difference to the mid range - especially when combined with an open airbox.

Regards

Dave
