Fan Switch

my fan switch could do with replacing to.. i have an intermittent fault with the fans, though its always the fans coming on before they are supposed to

2 things i would like to know about those lower temperature switches, i have looked at them before but would like to know if the EFI warning is always going to be on... or is that just because its a genuine fault in my case

also, is there any way to change the switch without messing with click clamps..... i dont have the special tool nor any replacement clamps and when i looked on the tubing a while back there is a click clamp on there...

In city traffic.. i have seen 108c and at first i was really worried when it was anything over 60c lol but anything around 80 is good with average around 95-100 in busy traffic etc

i actually make a habit of letting the engine cut (really need to get those injectors synchronized...) when i know i will be sitting in traffic jam for a long time though i dont think it makes a real difference in helping the engine cool down, makes me look like a bit of a **** and saves petrol im lazy with throttle control sometimes, had the funniest look from kids walking past one time i think they thought the fans whirring away were the engine :dowhat

low temp switch is just the same as the oe switch and is plug and play it could`nt be easier .it changes nothing but the temp the fans cut in at which is 82/83,i see no downside at all.bike used to get very hot now it just gets hot.
no special tools needed just unscrew the old one after taking the spades off the top and replace.

I can get standard fan switch for £9 plus p&p if you want standard :thumbup, am happy to post to anyone on reciept of payment, 5-7 days delivery, just ordered mine only a phonecall away. I`m going to fit an overide flick switch aswell so i can have some control.

Went for a longish ride today, went into Exeter and mine went up to 118 deg's and started flashing! Turned out to be a corroded conection on the switch!

Ian if you know Southern X...or anyone else here does maybe you/they could see if we get a deal done for say 10 or more.....Im sure they will go fast. Let me know pls. Maybe the mods will do a 'sticky' on this one?

I would take one if its spare also...i live in the tropics..always bloody hot! :dunno

My fans start at 93 degrees, if the bikes were designed that way why would you want it to start earlier :dunno
