Hector I'm disappointed. They're prob what caused the crash in the 1st Place. Maxxis I reckon. ***** tyres

looks like he wheely'd and flip it over, made a nice mess

bucket of soapy water and she'll be as new :)

Give us yer opinion. I did enquire about them at Demon Tweeks last year. Geezer didn't think they's last that long on a T.

Ignore Bay - he's a tyre snob.

I had some nearly new Maxxis Supermaxx when I acquired the bike, nothing wrong with them.

As the front was still fine when I replaced the rear, I thought I would try and keep it Maxxis so went with their new diamond tyre:

Its been fine so far, plenty of tread left as well after a few thou.

I think mine are sportsmax, I ordered them ages ago. When I get the bike back I will have a look at the exact type and I will let you know how they feel.

Now you have said that, can't remember if it was Supermaxx or Sportsmax that were on mine - front still on there I'll have a look when I go to lunch!

I think the proper title is Maxxis Supermaxx Sport, don't think they do a Maxxis Sportsmax?

I will look at mine when its back, the write up on them was good, fast road and good track day tyre I thought?

they just don't look right to me, why have all that "knobbly" tread on the side of the tyre. Surely thats where you need as much grip as possible, when youre right over on the side of the tyre ?
I'm not speaking through experience though so i'll shut the **** up !!!

If you read the reviews, especially when they were first released and tested by proper racers etc. (in Portugal I think it was) they had top reviews. That was good enough for me when I decided to try it and I haven't been disappointed.

Must admit though my next set will probably be Dunlop Roadsmarts as I think they will suit my riding and have great reviews.

Good reviews there Stix. Video was prettyy compelling evidence about how good they are lean angles were pretty extreme. If I did a lot of commuting & daily riding I'd try them, would even consider at next change if I hadn't just stuck a new sportsmart on the front that's barely run in. Reckon 6000miles thats good going but then I also read a review on Roadsmarts getting 11K on a Z750 I only managed 3K on the T. Don't understand how I do it. (or don't as the case may be. I don't consider myself to be too extreme with the right hand & always warm my tyres up for the first 20 miles.)

I remember when Khumo car tyres were first introduced I used to fit them to my VR6 at about £45.00 a time they were considered budget tyres. I put a pair on my Golf yesterday for about £150.00 including the VAT & have never had issues. I remember them being well rated in one of the magazines a few years ago.

Lots of Stigma on tyres and as you mentioned tyre snobbery. Although it's nice to have confidence with the rubber you've got.
