2 options on routes mucker dependant on weather and road conditions
first route as in thread #22 and the fill up is Heathhall Dumfries just off the A701
secondary route as in thread #29
hope this clears things up mucker

Ok Mr b, if the weather is good enough can I suggest an alteration to the #29 route.

Instead of heading to Sanquhar on the B740 we head south to Abington and pickup the A702 to Thornhill.

This road is the Dalveen Pass and if it's dry the section near the M74 is in my top ten roads I've ever ridden (up and down it 4 times one night on ma blade).
