Hi All,

Stripped the bike down at the weekend to swap subframes as mine only had a single seater item...i took the battery off so knew the clocks would reset but it wont start and comes up with DIAG -1 on the read out.....:dunno

The non starting may possibly be the battery ...it turns over without hesitation but doesnt fire the bikes not been run since november although it has been topped up every 2 weeks with an optimate (bike lives outside and optimate goes on for between 2-4 days)

can anyone shed anylight on the DIAG -1 read out please?

Thanks Mark

It might be that you connected the test wire together as there is a connector that is normally disconnected.
The other thing to check is that you have the tip over is the right way up this will still allow the engine to turn.I did that by mistake took me nearly a week to get to the bottom of it:eek::eek:
The tip over sensor has up marked on the rubber casing.:thumbup
Good luck:thumbup

Diag 1 is your TPS Throttle position indicator. Sounds like you joined up the two link wires when you swapped the sud frame. They are located under the seat to the right hand side. They should be disconnected.:pirate

gents i know what ive done ..yep i've connected the wires thinking they had pulled apart...i thought it was odd they were different colours but assumed they must go together...thanks for your quick responses

Yes but before you disconnect the connectors, set your TPS so that the reading is '0'.

Schoolboy error BoB.:devious

The TPS must be set with the Idle screw fully wound in order to get an accurate reading. You may find that Once the TPS is correctly set this way it will read 1 once the Idle has been reset.
