Dash problem

Hi all, Can you help i have a 1999 rsv 1000 mille, The problem I have is that the dash is in KM. I have tried to change it by pressing the A button but this doen't work. Also I can't seem to change anything by the buttons except to reset the trip meter. Everything else works on the dash including the start up proceedure. Also if you press button A it will show the segment display. Anyone got any ideas or am i doing something wrong.

I have took the dash out today and took it apart to check the switches they all seem to operate fine but when you have the dash plugged in they don't work except for the reset button which will reset the trip meter.Has anyone got any ideas.

Thanks i just picked up a dash the other day for £34, it had a broken lcd so i swopped it over, Everything working now, except mileage is higher than original. Does anyone know if you can change the milage????:devious
