Any one know if there is a cut out device that activates if the bike is dropped, the wind cought mine the other night, the cover blew up like a balloon and it gently fell over, no damage other than a hernia trying to pick it up. I've not tried to start it up, but I seem to recall a mention of some sort of failsafe, if that's the right word.

Yep theirs a gizmo under the seat [little black box that rattles, you can pull it out]. It usually sets itself after 2 pokes on and 2 offs on the starter I think. It did with mine anyhoo when I fell off.

And if you take it off for any reason (like I did once when fiddling about) make sure you put it back the right way up (like I didn't once)

Took me ages to figure out why the fooker wouldn't start...:banghead

common oan a lot o bikes these days.

An it doesnt need to fall right oan its side either tae activate. I couped my GSX14 on gravel in my driveway but it fell against ma young loons car which kindly prevented any dammage. But it wouldnae start an had me flappin aboot fur a bit until it reset itsel.
