could these be better than the yamaha solenoids

On Aprilia parts websites these are now listed as 150a. I got mine from WEMOTO and mine too is 150a. They must have uprated them
 
Whats the reference to the 50 amp and whats the refereence to the 150? perhaps we can all check.

I too have a 04 RSVR the same as you pjefferi , did yours come with a 100a as standard then?

Im best of getting the 150a?

Mine only had a 50a on it. Dead chuffed with the 150a one though. You only have to just push the starter button and she's rumbling like a good un :thumbup

Do you know the best place to get a 150a one and what you can expect to pay? Theres a few on ebay £24.99 buy it now, seems reasonable!?
 
Not done this mod yet, so please excuse my ignorance but is this just a straight swap, as in plug and play??

got stranded last week and had to get one from an aprilia dealer £42:rant

the one in the ebay link covers 98-08 models.

but if you mean do 02 models need a better solenoid??

i dont know,:dunno

im assuming all models up to 04 ran 50 or 100 amps.??

so a nice 150amp would be just what the doc ordered.

posted that before I read the ebay ad (****) they must all be the same fitment, altho touch wood my bike starts fine evrytime. So why waste the funds??
