Know it's a bit late but I just use the autoglym bodywork shampoo & conditioner then chamos dry & it always looks perfect, may try some on my hair instead of head & shoulders!

Your not too late mate. Still not cleaned it......

Needs it now though, gonna give it a good once over before I stick the cover on it and tuck in the garage for winter ;)

Doesn't really make it shiney, just cleans it, great as it puts a sort of coating so fly guts seem to come off earier next time you clean it. ran out other day so raided the house and found some Pledge but its crap.

I think Mr sheen comes in silicon or wax. Imho I think either is ok. I quite often use just silicon spray which seems to work well but the reality is as long as my bike is fairly clean with NO rust or flaky stuff anywhere I'm not too worried specially as a mate of mine is soooo anal (his words) I just think life is too short. But either way as long as yer cleaning it and at the same time cheking it all over each to theyre own I guess

steve, try using paint stripper mate, then respraying it shineyish, like half matt half shiney cross breed like MINE....... I am going out on it tomorrow to cause havoc, cant wait!!!!!!!ye ha

Yeh but RSVStupid, yours looks shiney!! lol

So to recap, wash and chamois as usual, then... What mr sheen do you use Fogg? got a pic of the results? Actually maybe a few peeps could post pics after a clean, what you used, and the resulting finish?

Maybe a pic of the tank and seat hump or front cowl to compare?

It doesn't even have to be mr sheen, just generic furnature polish. I'll post some pics next time i clean it, it's minging now as i got caught in the rain today, bugger!

wd40 and a microfibre polishing cloth.. thats all i ever use on any of my bikes.. break out the super resin for the shiney ones though...

once cleaned i,ve started using meguirs ultimate protecterant, Impressed so far.
gordy.

I went ahead and used the mr sheen as suggested. I cant believe how easy these bikes are to clean! I was done in half the time previous bikes have taken! Mind I still need to polish the frame and swing arm

Never ever use T cut or any polishing creme etc on the matt black, that is a big never ever, did i mention never ever use T cut on the matt finish.

NEVER EVER!!
