Just bought my first Aprilia. A Tuono 1000r.I know. It's an oldie.Anything to get me away from my boring job as a **** star, playboy socialite.I needed a fast bike, because those girls are quick with their hands on my innocent body.Anyway, sorry to bore u,and back to the bike. She's a beauty. Loud and obnoxious, but like the women in my career path.Oops sorry, work again, I know.I should be able to go for a ride as soon as the girls release me from the dungeon

Hi Chux and welcome, unusual intro, but we need pix preferably of the bike, but l'm sure that your work pix would be enjoyed by some forum members (no pun) .......are you sure your name is not really Walter M.....

The bike I bought is a 2006 Aprilia Tuono1000r.Red and White checkers(soon to be painted deep black with 30% clear lacquer).Gorgeous bike.I also have latest Vstrom1000,that I hope to sell soon.I'm having a really hard time seeing the dash clearly in some angles of light.Have adjusted backlighting to no avail. Any solution would be much appreciated. Also, rear suspension is Ohlins. Is that standard for non-factory.Had a Fz1 many years ago,and this Tuono is much more fun.Has power commander 5 with auto tuner,so I don't know how a standard one goes.Putting higher bars and comfy seat on her soon. And by the way, I'm not a **** star.Just like spinning **** sometimes.

....the Ohlins shocker wid have been fitted aftermarket by some discerning gadgie with cash tae spare. The R is base model Tuono with the Factory being the blinged up All Ohlins front and rear c/w carbon fibre extra doodahs machine.

Nothing between them performance wise, just the FActory has the better sussies and the mair expensive panels tae replace if ye drop it !

Stick a piccy up.

Welcome mucker.

Don't forget the forged wheels Rmin.

I will stick a picture up as soon as I figure my bloody phone out Rico.Smartphone for a dumb guy. That's a lovely colour you've got on your coat,I would lay off the luscious green grass though,u don't want to be spending a fortune on suspension mods,or fancy diets

Nah mate! It's probably only just run in!!! ;)

I wouldn't even call my 2004 Gen1 (2003 model yr) an oldie with only 22k miles clocked. ;) But then, I might just be living in denial! ;)

PS: Welcome fella.
