**** me, the fueling's miles out, real pita under 3k rpms.
When it gets into that sweet spot, it's the mutts.
But trawling through traffic and in town? Think I'd rather walk.
Booked myself in with Griff for a smidgeon of throttle balancing later next month.
Please God, let this ******* bike work properly :lol

Ironically, I'd have p/x'd the bugger ages ago, but you know what? There's nothing out there that ticks all the boxes. Anyone feel the same? Or is it just me?

It IS just me isn't it?

Yer just a slave to that bike chap.:yes

As much as I love the T, sometimes I think enoughs a ******* nuff.
Looked at a Speedie, but the finnish is, errrr, well, ummmm, crap. For instance, the yokes look like they're made in China.
Looked at a CB1000r, nicely finished, but it left me a littlle cold.
Swapping the T for one of them is not deffo not on the cards.
But it's what to get, isn't it?
All the bikes I fancy haven't been done yet, for instance:
New blade (naked)
BMW1000S (naked)
Paneeegahhhlay (naked)

Quite fancy getting a CAT D of above and just building what I actually want.

Anyhooos, if the TB work doesn't do it, it's going, one way or another. Much as I love it, it's gonna go. It's like having a relationship with the sexiest woman in the world who keeps promising you a BJ but continually calls off with a headache.

Amen

Think I agree with you Tifa. There's some **** bikes out there, so what to replace it with?
I'd thought about the R1200GS, but need a go on 1 first. Yes its slower, but does it have as many quirks as the T?

having doine the Jap thing for many years, buzzy engines, hondas always leave a little something out. perfectly functional, but just too functional?
Suzukis - great engines and gear box, but buzzzz like mad.
Kwaks - head banging machines
You will be back on a T sooner or later. Character is top notch. It's just the fuel thing. You know you will...oh yes you will...
:yes

Tifa..I was out on the T today. I Lost concentration for a minute and severly overcooked a corner. The bike locked up and came round full 90 degrees..satup..shook it's head a bit..settled and droped nicely into the corner again.
I've lost count of the times the Tuono has pulled me out of similar **** ups. I can't think of another bike which is as forgiving as the Tuono tifa...the only thing I would ever think of buying would be another one!

Fair comment dude, I love the new v4 Tuono. However, on principle, I'll never buy Piaggio again. They are a bunch of cowboys as far as extended warranty issues go. Also, there is no dealer support within 150 miles that I actually trust. Therefore, they can keep their bikes along with their ****** attitude, and I'll spend my hard earned elsewhere. :)

I have to agree with all the comments.
I looked at a few before buying the T,
I looked at the Trumpet,...but as you say,the finish is shocking in parts. You see some really rough ones about.
Morini Corsaro 1200,...hell of an engine, but major worries about reliability.NLM's workshop was full of them in various states of repair. On the test ride the clocks started flickering,...put me right off.
Duc Streetfighter,...had it for a day,...hated it,...could'nt wait to take it back.
KTM Super Duke,...probably a great bike, but the dealers attitude put me off.I left and spent my money elsewhere.

Only two bikes out there I'd consider changing my T for at the mo:

V4T

Ducati Diavel (mate in work just put a deposit down on one, said I can have a go :thumbup ).

Thing is my T is only 18 months / 7500 miles old and has never given me grief. If it starts doing so I may start looking further afield.

Newsome - GSR750 - wash your mouth out with monkey **** man!
