Always did mine on a paddock stand, then checked it again when it was on the deck.
First time I tensioned mine I measured the distance from the swingarm axle to the wheel axle.
Found oot that the axle markings on the swingarm were miles oot,,,,,,2.5 notches.
Yer only need to measure it once then remember the difference between both sides.

Good point!
- Aprilia Performance told me they always check their customers Tuonos (Aprilias?) with a Vernier gage (like Gary), as the pips are always out!
