hi all,
going to catalunya gp next july and seeing if anyones been before and any advice on the route. we're sailing to santander and by the look of the route it seems to be all motorway, we've got a few days to get there as the ferry gets in on the thursday but on the way home its on the monday so probably glad of them. any advise would be great:thumbup

Also does anyone know of any biker friendly places to stay in Barcelona with garages for the bikes? cheers

Hi Flash, Can't help with the Santander route but I've ridden down to the Catalunya GP last two years with my boys on their 600's. Went via Dover and blitzed down to Toulouse on the motorways, then onto some cracking roads in southern France, over the pyrenees and down to Barcelona. Even on the motorways we were able to enjoy the ride as they are interesting if you go fast enough! We stayed in Berga, about 50 miles north of Barcelona in a nice hotel with a locked underground garage and commuted to the circuit. Hotels in Barcelona are more expensive, but plenty of them but the nearer they are to Catalunya the sooner they are full. We have parked our bikes in an underground public garage in Barcelona with no problems and caught a coach to the circuit. For good advice I would go to Visordown.com, the motorcycle tours and touring forum, and ask. Loads of knowledge there. Have fun!
