Hot Feet, peg grinding
Late reply to this thread on the fire down below on the Capos. My ankles get quite warm. Can't recall anything like it in 46 years of riding. Did about 80 miles today on the Capo running errands, some in Pensacola, on my 2014 Capo. Temp was in the high 90s with the humidity very high. On the interstates, I slide my boot soles out to the end of the pegs and pull my knees off the tank to get a bit of air between my flesh and the cauldron down there at the swing arm pivot. I think it's the catalytic converter radiating most of the heat. My '84 Guzzi 850 is actually cooler on a hot day with the two jugs just ahead of my knees. As I haven't come close to dragging pegs on the curves out on the country roads with this long-legged Italian Lass, I thought about modifying the pegs to be ~30mm longer, so as to have more boot on 'em while opening up the air gap between leather and metal. Either that or bite the bullet on an illegal (and expensive)race pipe. Has anyone dragged a peg on a later Capo?
