I've jist MOT'd the 916..wooowho! Yiv got to try and get oot as much as poss. Aye it's a few quid to tax the damn things, but I would pay the tax jist for one of those lovely crisp days later in the year fan I can jist roll the bike oot and go for a blast. As someone said "Life's too short" I read a piece in one of the bike mags aboot this. all these bike with "never seen rain" etc. Aye ok it's never seen rain, but it's only going to be worth a few quid more at the end of the day unless you keep it for 30 years or so. Get oot for a hurl gadgies:)
 
I'm now getting used to the rain after the summer we've had this year. Will probably investin some waterproofs before long. What were those reccomendations you made Stix??
 
Alright Mick. Either waterproof textile kit ideally Goretex or slip-over waterproofs that you can keep under the seat if it starts to pour down big enough to fit over leathers.

Really good, have good reviews as well. Had mine for years and they are plain black with Astars logos. These are a bit more colourful, don't know if you can still get them in plain black.
 
Ive got some RST textile waterproof kit, had em about 8 years and they leak like bugger now.
but when they were new have to say were first class.

Now ive just got a £20 all in one romper suit purchased from JTS ( local bike clothing dealer )

They are ok, but as i found coming back from germany on Monday, when its windy its like wearing a sail and im sure my MPG went down.:bawling
