Bristol Italian Gathering April

Club Aprilia seem to be meeting on the M5 services - so we need a meeting place for the western approach force. If you Kent lot are coming will it be down the M4? Or are you going to do a marathon cross-country run?
If we're going to join the ride-in (which sound like fun) we're going to have to time it right. Swindon's good for me.

Will see what we can do,we don't want to do toooo much motorway(borin),marathon cross country sounds good to me..:thumbup

I'll be coming from the A420 Oxford Road, joining the M4 at Jn15 so I'll be passing through Swindon.

You will be pasing my house then, just five minutes from j15 Upper stratton. happy to meet any place?

could meet up then get off to the M5 and meet everyone else. not to far :thumbup

Upper Stratton, close to the Honda plant? Sure, we could sort something out and go for a tour of the countryside if you like. I would guess if Club Aprilia are meeting at a service station on the M4 near Bristol it would be the Chippenham services so we could go up to Cirencester and down or down to Avebury and up. Or any other which way!

It's probably best to sort details out closer to the time. Anyone else up for a tour of the Cotswolds?

Last year we road in as a club rather than went down to gorduno (sp).
Lots of growling aprilias making there own & distinctive route in

We all met a michael wood services as the last point if i remember right then made out way into bristol itself

the way we went meant that we didn't get split up as not many traffic lights, roundabouts etc
The may our way to our designated parking area
which supprise everyone as they didn't expect this many of us and we filled our allocation with ease

once i get some more details i'll get them sorted with gaz

stp, pocket money was greatfully recieved, ready for some purchases for mine

If i can sort out the same guy to lead in from northampton who took a few of us thru the back roads,
it'll be a blast if your around that location ish

Sounds like a plan but Michael Wood is a bit of an extra haul for those coming from the East. If you know which way you're going in (M32 or M5) then we can set up a meeting point just off the motorway.

Last years Bristol Festival was a great day out. If you like Italian cars as well as bikes there is some fantastic machinery on display to look at.
As Cheesy says we more than filled our allocated space last year so weve been in touch with the organisers to "request" more room this year.

The general idea is that all bikes of the same marque park up together so from the organisers perspective its a lot easier if they turn up around the same time!

The streets are closed off to traffic during the festival so when you park up youre pretty much there for the day.

General details re times of road closures etc are usually put up on Bristol City Councils website.
There are "coloured" routes which are signposted when you get to the city centre ie Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Laverda Orange route / entrance, Ferrari, Lancia, Fiat, white entrance and so on if you catch my drift.
When i know whats what i will let you know where they have allocated parking for Aprilia and what entrance to use.

Much easier to meet with the rest of the guys and follow them in!

Cant do those fancy link thingys but heres a few pics from last year.
