My 2003 Tuono needs a new battery. Any recommendations? Looking at a Shorai Lithium, but expensive. Motobatt seem good.
Unless it fires first press of the starter button, it seems to be struggling to get ging, even when warm.
The other day it kept cranking over with the key out of the ignition, I had to drop the clutch and stall it to turn it off.
I put it all down to the battery, or could it be something else? I did use the kill switch a few times lately rather than the key...the last owner mentioned something about the kill switch, and best not to use it. Maybe it confuses the ECU?

Best battery(most powerful) for the tuono is a Varta funstart TTZ14 sbs. These v-twins need a lot of cranking power and the varta one provides 230cca (cold cranking amps) had mine over 2 years now and still starts straight away on the button, even in winter.

Yep, same for me. I upgraded my already upgraded battery to this. Loads better after.
