Hey guys, Goin to TT in 5 weeks, will be riding in all conditions. whats the general opinion on keeping your visor clear in wet and cold conditions? My helmet seems ok but I was thinking of fitting/wearing a nose mask thingy. Darren

pinlock is the best, but if you dont have that option i rate the foggy respro masks. work very well.

Cheers leebob, I have been looking at those foggy masks on Egay, £13 ish. do they clip on ya nose?

If you haven't got that option?

I though you could drill your visor and put pinlock in if there weren't already pins in there. Sure I read it somewhere. Means any visor can be adapted then. I put one in the other week having had it in the drawer for 2 years. Wouldn't ride without one now. Theyre brilliant

Open Face helmet i find the best (havent ever had one steam up in 41yrs) :dunno

Bay is right,Get a pinlock visor insert, and drill the holes in your visor for the supplied pins/studs.Simplest and best solution Daz.

Fog city are ok,but more fiddley to fit than pinlock, but both work so its down to personal choice I suppose :thumbup

I have a pin-lock visor, but it seems worse for steaming up when stood at junctions etc.

It does keeps clear when its wet though.

Olaf,I only had that misting problem with a pinlock once, the soft air-seal around the edge was very slightly damaged(could`nt see it untill a realy close inspection)never had it since and occasionly I gently `warm`the seal with the wife`s hairdryer and it helps with keeping a decent seal.

fog city - OK
fog snout thingy & pinlock - excellent, even stood still in traffic with rain, no mist. go to racevisors.com. fast and cheap for decent kit.

just my chardonnay clad opinion (ooh how middle class)

Thin film of washing up liqiud on a rag and a light wipe on the visor. Not much cop in the dark, but it does work.

Pinlock. I've got two...a clear and a tinted. It's the way forward. I also found out that they can be adjusted by turning the "pins" at each side. So if you have a pinlock that still mists up...give them pins a tweak....I think it's about 1/4 of a turn though.

Hmmmmm! I've just thought of something. Why do we still say 1/4 or 1/2 a turn instead 0.25 turn.....or do we but I've not noticed?

It's an age thing Slomo.

I just have problems with my glasses misting up in the rain, pinlock on the visor is great though.
