I've got an 05 rsv and it doesn't want to charge the battery. I can charge it over night and when i put it in it reads 13 volts. I ran it twice on saturday and when i was stopping at a junction it died, read 9 volts and wouldn't start. Any advice would be supercool!!!.

Check the brown connector on the right hand side at the rear that goes to the recitifer as the connectors can burn out and you will get no charge.
There are threads on her about wiring mods

reg/rec is faulty/failed.

Do you have a multimeter you test the charging circuit with ?

:yes Try this first mate. As Kiwi says it's your regulator/rectifier but is most probably because your connector has melted. Remove your right hand fairing (if you were sitting on it). On the front inner fairing there is a box with a kind of grill on it, that is the reg/rect. Follow the yellow wires from this and you will come across a fairly large brown connector block where 3 yello cables go in. One of the bales is probably black and split. Cut the brown block out and solder or crimp the cables back together. Use some heatshrink to seal them up and make it look neat.

Let us know if this is what it is :thumbup
