Hi Guys
Can you help withyour invalueable knowledge.
I bought a ytx12 and it still seems a bit under powered to turn over went for a ride stop at garage with new battery after fully charging and went to start it didnt wont to on the first press and everything reset speedo etc.
I was wondering if the YTX14-bs fits as is a bit taller but other dimensions the same but is a 14amp so bit more punch.

Any feedback it is for s 2002 RSV:dunno,

:thumbup Just done it to my 2001 R model, battery fits a treat even tho 16mm higher. You just need longer battery clamp bolt and spacer.Change the starter sol too for yamaha one,so much better.

Spot on Mick, these bikes need that extra oomph in the YTX 14 to spin them over on these cold mornings.

Best to do the starter solenoid mod too if you already haven't, the standard Aprilia one is **** and can cause loss of current being passed on to the starter during cranking.

Yep as the guys say YTX14BS is the way to go. Also you will need to buy an Optimate 3 or 4 battery condiitoner and keep the bike hooked up at all times when not in use

Thanks Guys just ordered one and new racing clutch slave already have the optimate and the remote connector,
So almost sorted Cannot stand an unreliable bike.
Just to get the best out of it but which started solenoid is best to use how about a ZX9 I have got or is there something else better.
I already fitted a standard one but stripped the old one to see distortion and burning round the contacts abvious alot of current going on.
