Like lots of people on here, I'm really sorry to hear that.
Hope you fight it and kick it.

Matt......I dunno what to say m8.

Me and the missus are thinking of you and yours m8.

I know I only know you from here on the forums and from sending you that Blueflame can, but if there is anything I can do for ya, or even if you want a wee chinwag, drop me an email m8.

Stay strong buddy, you WILL get through this and we are all right behind you mate.

Gaz.

It's time to be strong fella. I personally don't believe in God but I believe life sometimes put us through hard tests and you have a choice of being strong and fight. I'm not a doctor but I know that being happy or positive boasts your immune system and helps you against any illness. Nowadays many people overcome the big C. Think of Lance Amstrong, the guy had leukemia and after overcome it, He went to win 5 or 6 tour the France. Frankly, I don't see you winning 5 tours of France but sure you can beat this ******. :thumbup

Sorry to hear the news Matt. I too have some1 close who is ill with Cancer. Chin up mate and chuck it through the back door with a swift boot like you have done with so many other 'problems'. Oh and if little1 does call round, sit on him :)

Take care mate and all the best

John

I can only reiterate what's already been said Matt. Havn't met you yet fella but judging my your persona on here I can't see you lying down and letting this get the better of you. I'll buy you a pint or two when you're sorted :thumbup

In the meantime, if you can spare 5 mins here and there to drop in here and let us know how it's going, then I think that would be appreciated by all.

Be safe Big Un :bigok

I dont realy know you but from what i've read, you sound like a fella with the right mind set to beat it and that is a good start.6 years agoi was told i had cancer,10 years before that i had lost my dad to it,so i was determined not to go the same way.have your treatment, eat healthily and try to stay positive.i know it might not sound like much of a plan but it worked for me,so heres hoping it works for you.if i can help in any way, feel free to ask.

all the best mate

It was SEVEN. Read his book "its not about the bike". Its an inspiration.

yes he won 7 tours..2 of them i think it was after he beat cancer..inspiration alright Sabre..one tough nut.

Mate, don't really know what to say, and I can't imagine what you are going through.

All the best, and I hope to see you back on when you kick its arse.

God bless!

sorry to hear the news BIG UN not much more i can say that the rest have'nt already said all i will say is that as far as telling the rest of the family sometimes the people that are closest to you can help spread the burden the more work they do the less you do and the more time you have to fight the fight

sorry to hear BIG UN. not one for many words but wish you all the best:thumbup/

I think most everything has been said Matt and can only echo those sentiments. I worked very closely with a guy who was diagnosed 18 years ago, and he is still fighting strong and hard and living his life. I often asked him how he has managed in all this time, and he always tells me the same thing, keeping a sense of humour every day (and boy does he have a dark sense of humour), sharing time and dreams with those that he loves the most, and watching himself and his loved ones achieve those dreams.

I understand your feelings on not sharing your news with your family Matt, but you said yourself
take care guys, and make the most of life, enjoy it and dont dwell on silly petty little things and fall out with your loved ones ect, life is so very precious,so love/live every minit of it.
. I know it is hard, but give them the chance to be able to do the same. The support you'll get and the joy you will have from being able to support them in all they do is perhaps the biggest gift you can ever give to one another.

Hang in there big man, and whenever you are feeling a little low, come in here and raise yourself a big old smile. Be strong Matt, you can get through this :thumbup

Only just saw this.

Like everyone else i wish you all the best and hope to see you fighting fit again soon. :thumbup

Chin up mate.

Had two guys at work diagnosed with it recently and they have both been to hell and back with the treatment etc... but they have both beaten it.

You can do it, stay strong.
