48 this year, as said by others feel 18 in the mind if not body. Got the Tuoldo as I wanted a bike that was mental but comfy, its defo mental but the seat is anything but comfy
Just turned 50 on the outside but approx 23 in my head (depending on how / what I have been abusing myself with)

Had a yoiungster turn up outside last night as I was putting bike away looking for directions but keen to talk about bikes. lots of hurdles put up in front of them. I remember taking the two part test. That was bad enough. Just started reading latest edition of Bike & really ought to give serious thought to joining MAG or BMF as these laws will slip through without serious contyention if we all just sit back and let it happen.
I think it's a lot to do with the free cash that youngsters have at the mo. They've a job to save up for a deposit on a house let alone have a hobby like biking with the expense of fuel, tax, insurance and the initial outlay of the bike itself. Just to put themselves through university they come out with massive debts which tale years to pay off.
It's when you see at bike meets someone pull up on a brand new Italian exotic v4 or 1098 you know very well when the person takes the helmet off it is in the majority going to be someone over the age of 40. Brand new bikes are out of the reach of 20 and 30 year olds mostly

Yup, entirely the reason I bought one (that and the fact my knees are fcuked, the T is a bit more kind to them).
I'm nearly 41, so just out of short trousers compared to some of you guys (i'm still a grumpy bastard though :biggrin )

That's certainly true and a shame, quite a few people I know are taking up biking again to the piss take that is car insurance, tax & fuel! Although most of them are late 30's+.
I do ride past a local DSA test center and 2x bike training areas every day and there always busy, so maybe theres hope?
